Hand Care and Safety

    • Change your hand positions often
    • Pace yourself to avoid arm strain and fatigue
    • Take occasional breaks and work at a moderate rate
    • Choose a tool that fits in your hand comfortably
    • Avoid bending and twisting your wrist
    • Avoid clenching by holding a tool as lightly as possible
    • Put a writing grip on your pencil or pen

Foot Care and Safety

    • Thoroughly inspect your feet, daily and keep them clean and dry
    • Wash foot daily with lukewarm water and soap
    • Dry feet between fingers
    • Shape your toe nails
    • Moisturise your foot at interval
    • Keep feet warm and wear correct size shoes
    • Don’t walk barefoot
    • Check your footwear before wearing
    • If you notice any small wound or skin changes check with a podiatrist
